What to Expect on Promenade Day:

Registration fee for the costume contest is $10.00
There is no charge to walk in the Promenade

Parking can be a bit of a clam in Asbury Park during the summertime ~ ~ ~
Get to town early and take in the sights ‘n’ sounds of our city on the shore!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

10:00 – 6:00 ~ Vendors selling mermaid art and jewelry and a face painter will be at the Asbury Park Yacht Club.

12:00 – 2:00 ~ Registration at the 2nd Avenue Pavilion on the Boardwalk, near the water park.

1:55 ~ Little Mermaid performance by Music Mountain Theatre.

2:05 ~ The Promenade begins led by the Gypsy Funk Squad. The Promenade will head north to Convention Hall, turn around and head back to the registration area. The Promenade takes place entirely on the Boardwalk.

3:00 ~ The costume contest [for registered promenaders only] will begin immediately following around the registration area. The King and Queen and costume contest winners will be chosen by our Grand Marshal and panel of judges.

3:30-6:00 ~ The after-party is at the Langosta Lounge with the Gypsy Funk Squad.

THE DAY IS LIKELY TO BE HOT AND SUNNY. PLEASE BE SURE TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE SUN

Free water, courtesy of MotionFit of Asbury Park, will be available in the registration area.

RESCUE RIDGE will receive a portion of the entry fees. We urge you to further support their important work!

All prizes are donated by generous local businesses~Please be generous in supporting them in return!

The Asbury Park Promenade of Mermaids is a public event and your participation may be documented through photography, video, and other means. By joining the Promenade, you give your permission to the promoters of the event to use your image
in subsequent media use.
